Insider Circle App (Prototype)
Insider is a conceptual app designed to elevate the membership experience for the Inside Out 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival. The app showcases exclusive perks, community events, and festival highlights, providing members with easy access to the latest happenings and benefits within the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
This was a final project for the Introduction to User Interface and User Experience Design course at OCADU.
Project
-
Empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test.
Summary of timeline: Roughly 8 weeks. Tools: Miro, POP Marvel, sketching, physical mockup, in-person interviews, Google Questionnaire
-
Methodologies used to analyze the data included gathering all results (from in-person and online Google questionnaire) into Google Sheet, reading through the qualitative data, assign codes and then using affinity diagramming to categorize data.
Synthesizing the data into categories via Miro of Pain Points, Motivations, and Behaviours led to the problem statement: members are encountering difficulties in accessing the social benefits associated with their membership
-
Using the process of user flow to define the user experience map gave an idea of what the user will see, do, think, and feel, throughout their experience of the app. Mapping this out visually with sticky notes and chart paper assisted in understanding the user’s process and helped narrow down the flow of one task (searching an offer and booking). I then sketched out a simple wireframe and transferred it to POP Marvel to test out this flow.
-
Inside Out Festival members are encountering difficulties in accessing the social benefits associated with their membership, resulting in a diminished perception of value offered by their membership.
-
An app for members to search local screenings, events, and offers available to them through their membership.
